The market of consumable electronic devices has increased dramatically in recent years. The need for a human to machine interface has sparked a major demand for human interface devices calling for new and improved concepts in touchscreens specifically for small hand held devices such as cell(or mobile) phones, e-books, Hand held PCs(or PDAs) and also the increasing market for multimedia devices. According to the application of touch screen, we can distinguish to four main product groups : public information directory system, (such as, displays you would find in shopping malls or building foyers), commercial application, portable professional accounting, and consumer application. The majority of screen displays today are CRT, LCD or Plasma. These displays can all be easily adapted to have touch screen user interface. Due to the ease of adaptation we believe touch screens to be the way for the future.
